Foundation program

The university foundation is an excellent alternative pathway for you as an international student to gain entry into the university of your preference in Australia.

This is particularly so for international student who has completed equivalent of Year 11 high school study overseas or in Australia and who do not wish to sit for Higher School Certificate examination to gain entry into university to do undergraduate degree

By choosing to do the university foundation program, you are guaranteed a place to do the undergraduate degree program of your choice at the university of your preference if you have achieved the final scores in your English language and other academic subjects as pre-determined by the university concern.

Most foundation program are conducted within the university campus and therefore you are able to experience and adapt to many aspects of university life and Australia environment before you start your undergraduate degree studies.

Streams of study:

Depending on the major you plan to do in your undergraduate degree program, you will be recommended to do the following streams of study:

1. Physical Science - Engineering and science or medicine degree programs.

2. Life Science - Health Science and related science and technology programs.

3. Commerce/Business- Accounting or other commerce related programs.

4. Design/Fine Arts/Media & Building- Media, design and art or architectural related program.

5. Arts/Social Sciences & International studies- Arts, Humanities or Laws related programs.

International student who has excellent academic results may qualify for the award of full or partial scholarship.

English language requirements:

Apart from academic qualification, you will also need to provide English language proficiency evidence which meet the direct entry requirements. Recognised English language evidence include:

IELTS (Academic Module)	Minimum 5 and writing score of 4.5
TOEFL (PBT)	485 with TWE 3.5
TOEFL (IBT)	56 with writing 14
Pearsons Test of English	38 (No score less than 31)
Cambridge Advanced English	41 with writing 36
HKDSE English	1 and writing 1
SPM	Grade D7
Australian Year 12	ESL Band 2 plus English test

If you have any other type of English language test results, please let us know and we will check for you on whether such results can be used as evidence in meeting the English language entry requirements.
